It has been made possible through the confluence of generous institutions such as The Society of the Four Arts, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Josquin Records.

What They Are Saying:

Gastesi and Bezerra play an international mix of composers —from the US, Poland, Serbia, Italy, Brazil, Spain. The last two works, by Ricardo Tacuchian and Carme Fernandez-Vidal are thrilling—fast and brilliant. Piotr Lachert’s 19th sonata, Risposta a la Bella Postina is romantic, very like Schumann. Most of the composers have taken four hands as an opportunity to extend the same texture the length of the piano; particularly pleasant are the understated, pleasantly melancholy Ripple Marks by Michel Lysight and Ariadne’s Crown by Terry Owens. Marlene Woodward-Cooper’s Sombras are flashy. The range of pieces is satisfying, with more variety than on many programs of solo piano music.
American Record Guide

José M. Garcia Laborda, composer, Associate Professor of Musicology, Universidad de Salamanca, Spain

Piotr Lachert, composer

Musically, your CD is marvelous and I am very happy to hear
my work played by two great pianists and musicians.
Michel Lysight, composer

Bravo!  4on1 is an absolutely gorgeous CD. I am so happy that
Ariadne
is so beautifully represented. You two are great and
you inspire me to write a new piece for piano four-hands.
Terry W. Owens, composer

Paulo E. de Freitas Peres, Artistic Director and Editor,
Folia Colonia-Araras Collection, Germany

The cd is FABULOUS! I love what you did with Broken crystal -- it's well represented here. The other pieces on the CD are very well done
too -- Kudos to your recording engineer.
Justin Rubin, composer

Ricardo Tacuchian, composer

Fantastic opus 1 for Josquin Records, congratulations!!!
Alain Van Kerckhoven, publisher of postmodern music

Congratulations on your excellent performances! The recording quality is wonderful, and you demonstrate clarity, good balance, and ensemble. You are great proponents of late 20th century music, and the composers are fortunate to have you recording their works.
Dallas Weekley and Nancy Arganbright, America’s foremost piano duettists
